Truck Drawing Step by Step
It may not be the most glamorous job, but driving and running the garbage trucks is one of the most important roles in society – without these vehicles, we would soon be surrounded by rats, flies, and other unwanted nasties. To celebrate these important trucks, let's learn how to draw our very own.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Use a black pen and a drawing compass to draw a small circle in the bottom left of your page.
2.
Then use the black pen and drawing compass to draw another circle immediately to the right of this, and another on the right side of your page.
3.
Next, use the tools to add smaller circles inside each of the large ones, creating "ring" shapes.
4.
Use the black pen and a ruler to draw a straight, horizontal line connecting each of these circles, with a little over at either end.
5.
On the right-hand side, add two short, parallel lines emerging from the mark at the end.
6.
Add more lines to create a "square" here, but leave the corners unconnected.
7.
Using the black pen, join the corners with soft curves.
8.
Next, use the black pen and ruler to draw two vertical parallel lines, the right slightly shorter than the left, emerging from the right of the square.
9.
Take the left-hand line, and add another line heading up and across at a 45-degree angle towards the top left-hand corner of the page.
10.
Then, add a vertical line, heading straight up just behind the right wheel. Just below the top of this, use a horizontal line to connect the angled line you just drew to this vertical line.
11.
Bring another horizontal line across from the top of the vertical line, heading towards the left. Leave a slight gap, and add another short mark.
12.
Use the black pen to bring a curved line down to the bottom.
13.
Now use the black pen and ruler to bring a short horizontal line across to the left.
14.
Now, return to the bottom of the curved line, and bring another curved line-up and across to the right.
15.
Add a small rectangle shape to the left of this curved line.
16.
Take the black pen and ruler to draw a diagonal line across the space, and then add another one above this, leaving a small gap at the top.
17.
Using the black pen, create a triangle made up of three arrows, all pointing in the same direction.
18.
Use the black pen and ruler to add three straight lines in a "square" shape to the front of the truck, and add a vertical line roughly in the center of this.
19.
Switch to a green pen, and add a series of diagonal lines moving across from the top right-hand corner, towards the bottom of the truck. Then repeat this above the front wheel, leaving a small line in the middle as you fill in the outside. Then, draw a diagonal line bisecting the square at the front, and shade in the bottom. Return to the section at the back, and use the green to add a second line under the one at the bottom, flaring this out slightly at the bottom.
20.
Use the green pen to thicken the lines at the front, once again leaving a gap in the middle. Then, outline the lines at the back using the same green.
21.
Switch to a light green pen, and use this to fill in the rest of the truck.
22.
Use a blue pen to fill in the outside sections of the circles, leaving the centers empty.
23.
Next, grab a cyan pen and ruler, and add two "stripes" to the space at the front of the cab.
24.
Use a yellow pen, and fill in the center of the wheels.
And there we have it – your very own garbage truck ready to go! Who will be its driver, and where will they go – it's truly up to you!
